Paint flaking off scuttle.

I recently had my car detailed and the detailer pointed out the following to me the paint is flaking off my scuttle (dark area) so I think I have maybe three options

1.Leave it (after all its only plastic) but it does bug me now its been pointed out
2.Paint it to a colour as close as I can get
3.Paint it body colour.

Anyone any experience?

BTW its only the bottom two area the big area at the top is a shadow. Geoff

Mine was painted the closest silver the paint shop could find, it's been perfect for over 2 years now... Thumbs Up Pete

I think they're quite easy to get off and there's a Powerful kid video on youtube shows how it's done so it shouldn't be a huge job to paint it. I'd thought of having a go at mine and maybe doing it black, the car is grey but not sure how it would look. New ones are available already painted. Maybe the way to go?
