cracking mpg is available on these things, I've just landed back from Brum to S Cheshire, got caught up in bits of traffic as you'd expect and kept to 60-65mph wafting when it opened up and returned a car value of 44mpg. My brim to brim and real distance calcs shows about 2mpg on the optimistic side.

Yep, SDV8. Not unusual either, it's not surprising for me to see 40-44 omn the dash readout when I go from Cheshire to the south coast and back. First time FFRR owner

Clogged intake, pull the throttle body off to see how much soot build up is in the intake system.

Ok. On my last long drive 534 km (331 miles) at an average speed of 112 km/h (70 mph): The app reported 9.6 l/100KM (30 mpg). I checked when I filled up and the number was close enough.

I was happy with that. But I would get an even better result if I drove more than 130 km/h (looking at other journeys).

2017 SDV8 in same location as you (Hi!) - I don't think I have ever seen 36mpg, unless down hill with a storm wind behind me!

It is usually 28-31 and never really any higher unless I hyper mile. I am anal about tyre pressures as this affects the ride massively, mines on 67k and the best I have ever achieved is 35mpg and that was a very very long journey in clement weather and almost zero town driving

I use mine for a Devon to Essex run mainly and its hard to get over 30mpg it usually stop at that number but i have seen 32mpg occasionally.

I think I may have caused a little stir and want to give you all real world example.

For reference my car is 2015 Vogue SE SVD8 with 135k on the clock and full service history. Very pampered.

I have just come back from a 3 day trip of 717 miles (single tank) of fuel), I filled up at the same station and 95 litres went in.

The weather was sub zero, I sat in the fast lane mostly at around 77-80 leptons for 95% of the journey.

So my calculations are as follows:

95 litres x 0.22 = 20.9 gallons.

717/20.9 = 34.30 mpg.

If it was mid summer I can get around 30 more miles and drive a little faster.

Maybe these cars loosen up the more miles they get under their belt?????

I have taken my wife's 2017 RR sport 3.0 SDV6 and it is nowhere near as good on fuel!

Maybe I have a special engine with Warp drive fitted???!!

Your travel speed is probably at a sweet spot in efficiency including where EGR is inoperative.

I recall my 3.0 TDV6 D4 towing a trailer in very flat country using less fuel acording to the fuel consumption display when travelling 10 kph faster.
