As said it's all a massive con in the UK, our Spanish Villa car, a Renault Scenic, is less than 300EU for fully comprehensive, inc 90 days in other EU countries, any driver over 25, full glass cover with no excess (we had a free screen last year) full coverage breakdown insurance which is mandatory in Spain and no NCD to lose as the cost stays about the same anyway.... Pete
