I’ve had cover from them on a few occasions and have nothing negative to report, however, an insurer is only tested when you actually claim so on that basis I can’t advise. Like most they will be underwritten by one of the big firms. J |

Yes, its true, I discovered that last year when trying all the comparison sites. Exactly the same cover, but different prices. Takes you straight to the Insurers site to sign up so nothing dodgy |

Yep, did mine yesterday. Moneysupermarket was £120 more expensive than Gocompare. The exact same policy with the same provider. Glad I checked them both. 2012 Range Rover Westminster

I had the same experience with same cover and same insurer at different prices.

Having glass cover as an option is fairly new, I know someone who missed it and got a big bill for a replacement screen. You have to read the T&C’s very carefully with insurance. MY23 Panamera E-Hybrid

Also, some include the glass roof as a glass claim, others as a full claim affecting NCD..... |

The reason rates differ between the comparison sites is that they get different commission rates from the site owners, which means they can only offer a certain rate.

When I bought my car in December it was £100 difference between insurance starting next day and starting in 7 days. Luckily prep required more than a day. Presumably insurance companies have data to show increased claims from those who insure last minute. 2021 Westminster Black D300 MHEV

I think it also has something to do with where you are, for all of us up here in Yorkshire Compare the Meerkat is always the cheapest comparison site by a long way.
