I had one for 6 years. Utterly reliable and a joy to own. They need looking after though and nothing about them is cheap! |

That’s a question impossible to answer, it depends on too many factors.

Not sure what you mean by 'standard', but currently most owners are finding them costly to insure. When I bought mine in Nov 2019 I paid £350 for the year. This year I'm paying £900 odd.

I’ve been running my 2016 for 5 years now and it’s been pretty well behaved. And I could sell it at this point and say it’s not really cost me much at all….. but….

Those are all the reasons I swapped out back in the summer, plus theYear10 service is around £2K - all belts and fluids changed. These cars are big, heavy and complex, so need proper looking after and that comes at a cost. |

Yeah I’ve seen that looming. But hey ho. it’s still cheaper than a new car…..the plan is to swap the gearbox oil this year then get it done again at the service so that it’s had a decent wash out! That is a main cost in the 10 year as the cost of. lR pan and the dealer rate for the lifeguard 8 is astronomical. I managed to get the ZFbranded kit off AUTODOC for £190 with 7L of oil. So when the service comes around I’ll buy another and get them to use that and not charge me for the same thing in a LR box. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
