I've tried the search and can't find much/anything. As I am keeping my existing RR I am thinking of pimping my ride a bit and pulling the trigger on one of these from Land Rover World, has anyone got this system - if so it would be really helpful to get your opinion before I splash out £2k Geoff |

A few have installed a different system for a lot less. I was looking into the RRworld one the other day too. But it seemed a Lot of money similar systems are available for less, but you do get that point of contact and fitting…..

Didn't make myself clear as I've not yet risen to the height of the L460. Pivi Pro Style is the actual description https://rangeroverworld.co.uk/shop/ols/pro...-2013-2016 - I could just spend £2k save £100k and keep the car I like. (Dare I say it, I don't actually like the L460 |

I've got the RRW Pivi style screen in my SVA, and while I wouldn't recommend RRW for reasons I don't want to go into, the system has been faultless and I wouldn't be without it. I do believe 'Charles' who runs RRW has a good back channel to the manufacturer and software developer and hence his offering is more stable than similar systems - and hence the price lift justification. If you want to know any specifics, ask away! L405 SV Autobiography LWB SDV8, finished in Aston Martin China Grey by ETO division. |

Just my 2p on the pivi pro screen...
Issues I found... 1. No matter what others say I find that the reduction of air hitting you from the partially obscured upper vents is too much to live with... 2. If you have a touch screen heater panel you cannot see the hazard warning switch as it is hidden under the new screen, this is also an MOT fail if spotted by the examiner.. 3. The programmed seat massage feature cannot be worked by the new system, there just isn't the option when you return to the "original" system.. 4. If you want spoken route directions you have to pair your phone and use the Aux input on the original system to get directions from which ever CarPlay sat nav app you use, this means if you want the directions spoken to you, you have to use another app in CarPlay to play music. You can't listen to the radio, etc while navigating. This isn't actually a problem for me as I listen to music from my iPhone or a wifi radio app but could be an issue for others. 5. You lose the CD, DVD slot.. 6. In lots of settings gained through the link to the original system it gets the passenger and driver confused and no matter how much playing by myself and RRW's "specialist" this could not be sorted, again, the massage seats fell into the category, you could only turn them on from the screen, no programming, and if you wanted the drivers on you had to switch on the passenger side... 7. I found a couple of other minor issues and was always told by RRW that a software update was on it's way to fix these issues "this week" which turned into months but never came.... 8. But the biggest problem with the system is the screen itself, for me it was always completely covered in reflections, it sits so far in front of the dash every part of it was full of reflections, if I wanted to see the screen I was always moving my head around to try to get the part of the screen I wanted to see, clear and readable. This, to me, was the killer, it was just dangerous having to constantly move your head to see the screen, if the sun caught it then it was worse than the reflection from the silver surround to the gear selector..... The picture above took a lot of sorting to get an angle where there was only a small reflection, the pivi pro screen usually looks like the HVAC panel in the next picture, the whole screen covered in reflection. Luckily I was able to return to the system mine had when I bought it which is the smaller RRW unit, this gets no reflections and the software is more stable, the Aux/sat nav directions issue is still present but all the other systems work well, including the programmed massage seats. Picture below
I, also, have issues with RRW's customer service and products, lots of promises, very little action, luckily for me I was sent a link to pay for the pivi pro via Apple Pay which I did but it turned out the payment never went through, leaving me in a very strong position, I managed to get them to refit the old system, which they nearly did ok, I had to fit another external microphone as they cut the original out. They had their system back so my emails to chase it up went unanswered.... I see there are some on here who love it but personally I can't recommend the pivi pro screen or Range Rover World. ![]() __________________________________________________ 2014 L405 Autobiography SDV8 4.4 Loire Blue Ebony interior 2012 L322 Autobiography 5.0 Supercharged Ipanema Sand Sold 2011 L322 Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8 Baltic Blue. I've got the RRW Pivi style screen and have never had an issue with glare as the screen has a matt coating, I noticed in your pic that the screen protection film is still attached (the little remove me label is visible in the bottom right). I'm sure this wouldn't help as it has a glossy finish. Apologies if you are aware of this and it was a pic before it was removed!! The picture was taken just after fitment, when I'd got home and washed my hands the protector came off, it was a slightly matt finish but still suffered from reflections, this was a while ago, maybe the screen surface has been changed.... |
