MY21 SVAutobiography Dynamic

After 6 years of reliable ownership I’m trading the MY17 TDV8 VSE in for an 2021 SVAutobiography Dynamic Black, want to scratch the itch for the V8 P565 whilst they’re still available and this one has a lowish mileage (17k). Wasn’t necessarily looking for a black with black RR but went to have a nosey at this one and was soon hooked.

So bye bye to a reliable car, reasonable fuel costs/insurance/road tax as I leap into the great unknown🫣.

Pick it up at the weekend and look forward to the 200 mile drive back home to put it through its pace's.

Coming from an SE model the Autobiography spec with the SV additions is very very nice, lots of new features to fiddle with. Not a big fan of the rear entertainment screens though.

Spent a couple of hours inspecting and test driving and it all seemed ok but no doubt there will be some squawks as it’s a Land Rover after all!
This will be my 6th fattie, there’s nothing else quite like them.
Fingers crossed I’ve not bought a lemon.

Enjoy, they are fabulous . Make sure the rear armrest works in the appropriate fashion, and has the remote inside , should also have the mirror too.

Very nice. Man next door to me had one the exact same as that a couple of years back. Made a nice noise and looked lovely inside. Doesn’t have the quilted leather seats? There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

This is the exact same car I bought earlier this year albeit mine has covered 26k and must say could not be happier. As said previous the only fault when I collected mine was the rear armrest cover hinge was broken so well worth a check as they are £600 to replace, the only other thing you may want to purchase is a 24 month data only sim from 3 so the telematics work as they should. Apart from that enjoy it’ll be as fast as you imagine and on a long run at 65ish mph will return over 30 mpg. 2021 SVautobiography Dynamic Black ( Black wheels need to go )

Very nice! Enjoy the drive home once you have picked it up - I am sure you will!

I have the same itch that needs scratching but I can’t justify it at the moment.

Thanks for the encouragement guys.
Having read the useful tips on here previously, amongst others I did check that the rear arm rest worked and that it did have the mirror and remote within plus two sets of headsets!

Fortunately It has a Ghost fitted already so that’s a win, although I don’t know the difference between a Ghost1 or a Ghost2? I’ll defo lose the keyless entry as I noticed that it was still enabled, maybe I’ll get a Disclok steering wheel clamp thingy although they do look quite a faff.

It does have the quilted leather seats, I think they may be standard on the SVAB Dynamic.

Just four more sleeps to go! 2017 L405 TDV8 SE

Cheers for the tip, I’ve just ordered one of those SIM cards, should hopefully arrive in time for the trip home on Saturday. 2017 L405 TDV8 SE

So, collected the car today and was sad to hand over the trusty TDV8 but the grin soon returned when I sat in the new rocket ship. Bit of a lack lustre handover from the indie with none of the panache you would expect if it was a main LR dealer, however the price was fair and the car is immaculate.

Most enjoyable trip home, mainly on motorways with ample time to fiddle with some of the gadgets. I’ve never owned a full fat with a spec higher than a Westminster or SE so really appreciate the additions the Autobiography provides along with the extra SV niceties. The standouts were the HUD, adaptive cruise control, an awesome sound system and the hot stone massage 😀.

The TDV8 is quick but this feels like on a different level - open up the taps and hear the V8 growl - it’s so damn quick, at the same time seems very happy and quiet wafting along at 30mph.

Will probably only do around 4k miles per year in it, I have a little van for a general runaround which I think I’ll keep, so the fuel bills won’t be too painful.

Bad points so far, the reduced boot space created by the exec seats may cause an issue shoving all the suitcases in when doing an airport run, otherwise I can live with it. Also still have to plug in the phone via USB lead to use Waze etc. I thought it would connect via Bluetooth like it does on the wife’s new Evoque. Hardly third world problems!

It has a Ghost fitted but am going to have a look in Halfords for steering wheel bar clamp thingy as a visual deterrent.

The obligatory photos below!

I would say it’s for cabin preconditioning but mine doesn’t look like that. Can you flip it over and take a pic from the other side 2021 SVautobiography Dynamic Black ( Black wheels need to go )
