2015 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Mariana Black
L460 Heater Gremlin

The heater on my 2023 4.4 Autobiography is playing tricks on me.
Around town set on Auto at 22C and all is well .
Venture onto the motorway and slowly the cabin temp falls and have to increase to 25C to maintain heating .
Also the dash vents start to bleed very cold air. Tried shutting them down but you can still feel very cold air escaping.
Any thoughts on this

Oddly, mine does something similar (AB D350). Also the fans semi to be on high all the time. In the L405, there was a setting for Auto that set quiet / gentle fan etc.

Anybody else having anything similar?

I find I have to turn the heat level to 22/23 to get a comfortable cabin temperature and also find the temp can vary when on auto.

Mines also got a noisy fan which is being looked at this week along with the coolant heater replacement. Current fleet:

Have you tried moving it to the automatic speed setting?

I have had a few issues with mine on a recent long journey to the Alps. The windows started misting up and when I clicked on the max demist option, nothing happened. Also if I tried Max A/C, nothing happened.

It seems fine again now but I will mention to the dealer. 2024 Range Rover P550e AB

I found something out yesterday, the fan has an Auto setting but that seems different to the Auto heat control.

The fan Auto allows you to set the max speed of the fan (it doesn’t make sense to me) so I gave now set it to Auto with a speed of 3. It seems much better. The fans are quiet but still auto (I think).

I did it on the rotary controls (pulled, set to auto, push and then pull, turn to 3.. the auto stays on) but I think it can also be done on the panel.

Heating seems much more akin to the L405 now which was gentle.

On a trip back from the Arlberg we had exactly this, screen wash for down to -10 and jets not defrosting and even on max windows misting up, just what you want from a hundred plus grand car.
Perhaps LR she ditch the bling and concentrate on the basics. letters not necessarily in the right order
