+ another (personally, I switched dealers from Stratstones to Lookers Park Royal because of their customer service / aftersales care and attention - now James and Jez are on the case, hopefully all will be sorted to your satisfaction very soon - most of us regular RR owners have had experience of a 'friday afternoon car' at one time or another, but with a little more patience and now having the right LR representatives helping you, it will get sorted... ...& don't go get a X5 - they may appear a similar type of vehicle - but are not in the same league as a FFRR!) |

I really can't fault lookers, Jeremy is fantastic and has gone the extra mile to sort everything out. The car is still a lemon but that's no reflection on lookers or Jeremy.

You're 100% right. A FFRR is in a different league from an X5 - there's nothing that exudes class more than a range rover on the back of a recovery lorry '07 Supercharged in black with drug dealer tinted windows |

Great......the f***er has now failed it's MOT and it'll cost £600 to put right - the MOT "insurance" isn't worth the paper it's written on. Thanks Land Rover, you really saw me coming didn't you? |

Andy - Please speak to us before you pay for anything to be done. Jeremy will call this morning as this doesn't sound right/fair.

It's OK James, I think we're just going to get it through the MOT then see what we can sell or px it for. Compared to what we've spent so far in about 9 months keeping it on the road it's no biggie.

+2 Currently running FFRR MY10 TDV8 3.6L and a Disco 3 XS Commercial (tank like but very effective as a Company van). Plus one mint condition Track Day Car in the form of an E36 M3 3.2L Evolution circa June 1996 with lots of go faster bits and only 52k miles on the clock! Oh, plus a few bits to make it slow down really quickly as well! Luvverly. |

I don't want to appear unsympathetic, but I don't quite get this. You've spent lots of money on this car due to problems, so you want to spend another £600 even though Lookers want to sort it out for you? How much of the rest of the money you've spent was on faults that would have been resolved FOC by Lookers, or under the approved used warranty? I've never bought a car from them, but I would expect them to put right anything which needed putting right, and they've certainly shown willing! It sounds like you have had some faults which were probably linked, but it sounds like you've given in to frustration without allowing Lookers to put it right for you. In my view there's no reason to suppose that an X5 would prove any less problematic. Equally the next owner of your car could well get these faults resolved quickly if they are not already, and have a great ownership experience! Range Rover-less at the moment - Pining! |
