L322 door lock paddle

Does anyone know of a supplier of the door lock service kit with the long paddle? There are loads of kits for the L322 and the X5 but they all seem to have the short 40mm paddle, not the much longer one with a joint in the middle on my 2003. All my searches so far in vain. I have the 40mm kit, but the 'cage' at the one end of the original is broken. I will probably have to try it anyway, it may still work for the odd occasion when the key is needed - although of course that is likely to be when the blessed thing fails!!

I got mine on Amazon.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B08SJ2...&psc=1

But my problem is further into the door. When I fitted the kit, the key does the quarter turn now but nothing happens to the lock Laughing

Need to strip it down at some point.

One piece of advice I would give to anyone would be avoid the shiny silver kits. I got one of these first and these are inferior versions and have bad tolerances. Go for the dull grey kits which closely match the originals.

Edit, I've just seen that yours is a 2003. My bad. ---------------------------------

Thanks for the reply! But yes, I think it must be the early onesthat have the ‘paddle’ about double the length of the one you show. It’s also not in one piece, there is a joint in the middle. I have a hope that half cage remaining will be enough for it to work. And yes, the original seems to be better metal. So 🤞🏻
