Wales 2019 Range Rover Autobiography SDV6 Silicon Silver
My ’new’ ride

Just bought a high mileage L405 with the Ingenium D300 engine in Autobiography trim. Registered in November 21 it has 51,000 miles on the clock. LR Approved and I purchased an extra two years warranty, to make it three in all, with unlimited mileage.
This is a very complicated machine and I’m sure to have a lot of questions.

First is, did these come with a printed instruction book, because mine does not have one. If not, is there a downloadable one and a workshop manual for it?

Is there any way to check, in detail, what service items and checks it has had, for instance whether it has had any engine work done and whether the auto box fluid has been changed?

This is my first post and I suspect that my vehicle profile is incorrect because 2019 was the newest choice and there was no engine option to select Ingenium D300

Evening Ffos-y-ffin,

You could check the LR OSH to see what services have been completed, not sure it will show any additional works, but worth a check, you just need vin number.

Not sure about 21my but I am sure you will be able to find one on the internet.

Look forward to seeing some pics and hearing all about it, welcome and enjoy.

Thanks. I did try to attach a photo and selected one from my files but it failed to show in the box. I used the ‘Choose Photos’ below the typing box which took me to my files and chose to upload but nothing appeared. It seems that this forum will be nearly as much a hard learning experience as the RR LOL.

Welcome to the world of FFRR ownership Thumbs Up

We're a helpful bunch so ask away....... Very Happy

In common with many manufacturers there is no printed owners handbook, just a very small getting started guide (as compared to the 450 page printed one I had with my MY17). Having recently switched into a 2021 I haven't yet been able to find a printed version (even a "dodgy" one) as I just don't think they were ever compiled. Best you can do so far is to use the online iGuide (https://www.ownerinfo.landrover.com/) which does a reasonable job of explaining most stuff but I think lacks some of the detail from previous handbooks.

As far as I know there is no workshop manual available. There is an L405 one in the Wiki but it is for the earlier models but I'd say a lot of it is still relevant and useful to the 2021 cars.

As DrF says, check the LR online service history. The Ingenium models are generally 2yrs/21k service intervals so I'd expect yours to have the pre-delivery service, a 2yr/21k service and a 42k service as it hasn't reached 4yrs yet. I don't know for certain but I think it unlikely the autobox fluid has been changed as it's probably not listed as early as 42k.

The issue with site car details only going up to 2019 has been ongoing since 2020 so can't say when or if it will be sorted. Many of us now put car details in our profile signatures.

With photos, you upload them as you have done and then when they are visible below the post you are writing you click on them and an image tag will be inserted where your cursor is. 2021 D350 Fifty Edition - Carpathian Grey
