Please help!!! Really stuck now...

RR 2012 4.4 tdv8. About 3 weeks ago it just cut out. A few weeks before that we noticed it spluttered a bit, for a few seconds and that was it. When it cut out, we had the fault code p0088.... replaced all common sensors, checked low pressure system etc. Fuel was getting to high pressure pump but not coming out. As luck would have it, family member had a brand new genuine pump for his (now sold) RR and so we replaced. All timed correctly. Changed CKP sensor too for good measure. Everything that could be changed has been changed (bar injectors..) Still wont go!! We have been advised that that there may be a fuel lockout, which should be reset. However we can not find how to do this. Apparently it is done through the ECM/ECU software. There is no option on the iid tool, and certainly no manual inertia switch. Please can anyone shed any light? Fuel input still says 0... Many thanks in advance

Call me stupid but … have to you cycling the ignition a few times before attempting to start it?

Just a thought but suspect you’ve done it.

Do you still have the same fault codes returning?

No! Threw up P0194-00 and P250a-92 but they have been cleared now too. It's all a bit strange

Def not calling you stupid! ANY suggestions at this point is really helpful, and it usually is the simplest things which get over looked. But, yes. Tried that.

Have you investigated the electrical connector referenced on LTB01083 which is for P0088-17?

Yes. That was one of the first things we did. Honestly don't know where to go now...

Presumably the original connector was replaced or bypassed rather than just checked.

Yes. We bypassed it. Cut the plug out and joined the wires.

Not sure if same problem but see link:

A modified link lead to the fuel pressure sensor cured my problem of spluttering and hesitation

A fairly cheap fix….

We did this as one of the first things. Still no difference to ours.

Clutching at straws, but have you had a look at the condition of the fuel filter?
