Should my 2012 model TDV8 have an LED to tell when the alarm is on?

I have in the middle of the top of dash, a red plastic dome thing that never lights.

Is this the alarm LED to show it is set or something else please?

Hi, the alarm led on mine is on the right side of the main instrument display and is not obvious when standing outside the car from the drivers side. If you sit in the car and lock it you should see if it’s there on yours.

As Rich said the alarm LED is to the right on the instrument display. The red plastic dome thing is a sunlight sensor and adjusts the air con accordingly.

Thanks Fellas, I have the flashing light on the instrument cluster, having sat in the car locked.
