L405 insurance in London

When I first bought my fatty it was £1000 to insure. N6 London, fully comp, full no claims, parked on street, 6000 miles a year (I do 4000 in reality). This rose to £3500 by 2023. On last renewal Direct Line declined to cover me. Land Rover insurance won’t quote. Adrian Flux quoted £4000 (£1 a mile!) including additional security, and it’s with Aviva. So now my car has 2 immobilisers and 3 (yes, three) trackers. Given I also use a Disclock Gold thing, I think I’d pay to watch someone try to actually steal it. To get my money’s worth I drive it like it’s stolen, it’s the fastest car you can buy for London’s wet 20 mph streets. L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso

It's a depressing state of affairs. I am particularly annoyed that "Land Rover Insurance" won't quote for my 405 either, though they will for a new P530. It gives the impression that the "insurance" is just to shift dealer stock but once you've got it you can swing in the wind, in this context bearing in mind also that it's monthly cover. My existing insurers, NFU Mutual, will cover the 405, but not a P530 (or indeed a D350AB).

While I am at it, the letter from JLR that said they would do a security update said it would be "available later this year" (2024) but there has been no sign of anything on that. Only Range Rovers since 1988
