Rear media remote in use

Hi All
I've just purchased an L405 which didn't have a remote for the rear screens, so have no idea how it should work. I'm unsure if the one I've replaced it with is actually working. When pressing the on button should it stay lit up? The one I have illuminates momentarily and then goes out. Is this normal?

Many thanks

Edward

You have to pair the remote to the system

Hi. Thanks for the info. Mine is a 2014 so I don't think it does pairing but could be wrong.

Many thanks

Hi
Thanks for helping. I've realised I ordered the incorrect remote and need an early L405 rear media model.
