Hi all, please could someone advise on the length of the tow neck assembly for the L405 compatible with the Landrover tow bar.

Part number is LR 036699 as pictured below.

I think you will find the 322 one has a smaller square that goes into the receiver on the fatty, it will fit in but is far too loose.... Pete

The draw bar is 50 x 50 mm
Overall length of draw bar to rear of drop plate is 260 mm
Centre line of locking pin hole to bottom of locating notch is 97mm
Centre line if locking pin hole to inner end of draw bar 135 mm
Locking pin diameter 15 mm

Mine was supplied by Land Rover and has Westfalia part no eBay Item No. 323104621001 and fits late 2017 L405

New here, lots of great info! Prob reopening an ancient thread, a necromancer or something!

Just got an L405 with electric deployable bar, and don't really like it, always had the heavy duty farmer type hitches as above on previous L322s

I'm guessing that I need to ditch the complete deployable bar and crossmember assy, and install a new x member with receiver to accept the hitch pictured above?

I'm strugglingto find the proper cross member, or I'm misunderstanding the pics in the ads?

The swan neck types for L405 seem to have the vertical socket for swan neck in the crossmember, as opposed the L322 that had a common crossmember and receiver, and you could plug in either the detachable adapter or the farmer type hitch.

If any of you could shed any light on this it would be much appreciated!

Not sure what year L405 you have but I'm sure I read that the towbar assemblies (both deployable and fixed) changed for MY18 onwards. Certainly the part numbers are different on the LR accessories site. 2021 D350 Fifty Edition - Carpathian Grey

Thanks for the reply, Rob. I found that the L322 and L405 hitches were different and ended up sourcing one on eBay. That said, I subsequently decided I didn’t require the towbar as plans had changed and ended up selling everything about twelve months ago! Still have the RR though, that’s not going anywhere  Current
