2017 Diesel Hybrid - looking for some info

Hello,

Used to have a 3.0 L494 in the past and loved it. Last 3 years i ve owned a 2019 Porsche Cayenne hybrid.
I ‘ve been looking for a facelift 4.4 for the last 2 months and finally found a much cheaper nice spec, one owner, 2017 3.0 diesel hybrid AB that i bought.
I am trying to get some real world experience on the hybrid system and cant seem to find anything.
For the time being, it seems that the battery -although fully charged based on the dash- is not being used at all. It stays fully charges at all times. I ve only driven the car inside the city, so no long travel experience.
I am getting about 21 mpg which is higher than what i used to see on my L494. The engine never stops working, even when parked and i am hoping that’s due to the start stop battery that needs replacing.

Can someone help with some experience on how these cars should be working? Seems that the diesel hybrids were not a lot and people rarely talk about them.

Any info is appreciated

Cheers

PS: i have the car booked with the dealer for some work next week, but i am trying to understand how the system should be working.

I would take out a 24 hr subscription to Topix.
Input your VIN number and download the Workshop Manual specifically for your model.
It will tell you in detail everything you need to know.

I don't think Topix access is available to individuals anymore Big Cry

When I looked recently, unless you have a business account you are limited to putting in your VIN and checking if there are any recalls on your vehicle. 2021 D350 Fifty Edition - Carpathian Grey

Thanks for the replies guys.
I tried to log in to my old topix account but it seems it’s not working 7 years later…
Sent an email asking to reset it.
In the meantime, if anyone has any real world experience from this drivetrain, please share some info.
I ve tried searching here, the US forum and youtube, but i only found very limited stuff. Especially on used ones.
