Hello,
I’m looking to sell my 2009 (MY2010 facelift) 3.6 TDV8 L322 in Buckingham Blue with Ivory interior to a good home. Thank you for taking the time to read my ad.
Registration: DE59 FNO (currently on a private plate but will return to this)
Mileage: 130350 (will creep up with the odd drive to work in the week)
Service history: mixed but documented - last service by me @ 127000 miles
MOT until 28.11.25 (no advisories, MOT this year involved new OSR seatbelt and arch/jack point welding and protection to OSR)
Location: New Forest, Hampshire
Price: £5,995 (offers welcome)
Additional accessories: can be supplied with IID Tool (Gap Diagnostics) G3 (Bluetooth) and Invery Bluetooth media streamer (negotiated in price)
I purchased the vehicle in February 2023 with a vision to keep it for around a year. I wanted to scratch the itch I’ve had since being a kid of owning a Landy whilst bolstering my (DIY) mechanical skills. Well the itch has been well and truly scratched and I’ve loved every mile I’ve done in this car. It drives easy, has plenty of grunt and has been amazingly practical. I’m now looking to get back into something more boring/sensible as I’m not driving it as much as I’d hoped (less work trips) and all my eggs are going back into the saving for property basket.
I’ve kept and printed pertinent invoices for parts below along with the previous owners’ receipts - there are a fair few, kept together in a plastic wallet.
The good bits and what’s been done in the last year of my ownership:
- Serviced at 127000 miles (oil and filters) incl 2x new sump plugs and both plugs drained using Castrol MAGNATEC 5W-30 A5 Engine Oil (July 2024)
- Fuel filter 130000 miles (November 2024)
- 4x new Michelin CrossClimate 2 tyres fitted (spare is a Pirelli Scorpion with ca 3-4mm of tread) + front wheel alignment (April 2024)
- Brake pads and discs all round (Bosch parts) (fronts May 2024, rears October 2024)
- Parking brake shoes (including springs, screws etc all new) (October 2024)
- EGR ECU blank and physical blanking plates installed (February 2024)
- Front and rear wipers (Bosch) (May 2024)
- 2x front, lower door card speakers (OEM from JLR) (March 2024)
- High pressure air con pipe replaced + re-gas and now ice cold (July 2024) (why did I wait until mid-summer?!)
- Transfer case double oil change and clutch recalibration at 129000 which resolved slight judder pulling away when steering (I’ll hold my hands up in saying that I over torqued the drain plug meaning it’ll need re-threading but is currently fully sealed with plumber’s tape and dab of sealant externally - no leaks since) (October 2024)
- New (second hand) OSR seatbelt (November 2024)
- OSR wheel arch and jacking point meeting point welded (November 2024)
- Air suspension works as it should, rises and lowers in good time with no extended compressor use
- FBH works a treat by both timer on the infotainment and remote fob
- Brake fluid has been changed in the very recent past as the pedal feels very reassuring and a digital moisture checker shows <1%
- All parking sensors and camera work as they should
- Going by the previous owner(s) receipts, it had a new transmission/gearbox (2016) and digital instrument cluster (2015)
- Includes Westfalia Towbar and key
The not so good or, I could say, would be on your to do list… (in my priority order)
- Small rust patch on the lower RHS lip of upper tailgate and small signs on NSR but checked in MOT (Nov 2024) and by the welder who did the OSR and, whilst protection was advised, no welding at present
- Previous paintwork on the NSR and OSF bumpers are showing some cracking/orange peel effect and could do with re-doing
- As above, transfer case drain plug needs re-threading but currently has no sign of a leak so not urgent
- I have the diff oil ready to replace front and rear if time allows else I can supply the oil (free) with sale
- I removed the side steps (for aesthetics) and haven’t got around to replacing the front mud guards so on the car are the ones with the step fitment
I’ve also been as honest as possible with the photos supplied, below, but please do PM or comment any questions you have. PS yes, it seems I picked the dirtiest patch in the forest on the wettest day to take photos hence the mess in the footwells - on a positive note, the rubber mats clean well!
