On the topic on Winter - last week in the colder weather I found my car taking a little longer to start and showing the odd ' special programs off' message on start up. I have been told it's a sign of a low battery, measured it on the multi-meter and resting shows c. 11.9/12volts. I'd put a new 019 AGM battery on in the spring however did not re-programme it to the vehicle so a few questions...

- I have a new battery charger which I was going to try, 8A Ring smart charger, can the battery be charged whilst in the vehicle or do I have to remove it?

- Should I charge the vehicle up and reset the BMS, will this help keep charge?

Hi,

I have the new Ring 8A charger and it's set up through the towbar plug, 13 pin, "9" for live "13" for ground, works fine.

Just need to remember to not drive off with it connected.

This is what I have, seems ok, just need to make it watertight, no probs so far and the pins are screw capture, so no crimping or soldering to worry about, for a fiver, happy days.
