Haven't bought but definitely considering one...

F*cking hate anything with an "i" in front of it - ridiculously expensive, out of date within a month, and incompatible with everything else.... Made for morons!

No but I want one too Mick. I am a big Blackberry fan and haver just upgraded my Storm to a Torch and think that it will work well with a Playbook.

One thing I am not sure about is can you connect you BB or put your SIM card in the playbook so that you can access data and messages via the Vodafone network while out and about?

I tried one, absolute garbage. IPad is much better, but even then it is far from perfect

Interested to know why it is garbage as BB products are usually far from that?

On paper, there's so many tablets that look better than the iPad, but the User Experience cannot be matched.

I would definitely not class myself as an apple fan, but even i admitted defeat and went for the ipad 2, having tried all the android offerings and a playbook.

My requirements were browsing the web, and email, as i have a billion laptops if i require to do anything else (but rarely have to turn them on nowadays) . If you're looking for something to replace a laptop, then i suspect the non-apple kit may lead the way.

feels cheap in your hands, it carries a premium price tag so I would expect it to feel nice to hold. The unit i played with crashed 3 times in 20 minutes and flash did not work well at all.

I should declare that I have an oversized iphone (for the kids) and was really hoping that the playbook would work at least as well if not better. I was a little disappointed and very disappointed with the implementation of Flash. Some video's run OK, but games etc are rubbish - this would be the primary reason for moving to the playbook so that the kids will stop stealing my laptop to play games on.

People make a big deal about the number of apps available for the BB, I don't buy that - sure the iPad has more apps, but who really needs talking tom cat applications (except my kids who are 6 & 4 and find this type of thing hilarious) - the major apps are adequately covered and the implementation is OK.

At the moment I think the best tablet is the iPad, but I look forward to any competitor coming with a better device, when they do they will have my money... Thumbs Up

+1 to Avi

User experience, from the way it feels in your hands to the way the apps integrate make the iPad the best tablet at the moment.

At some point it will be usurped, but at present everyone else is playing catch-up

I have a playbook. It's a great little device. I also have a ipad so feel as tho I can give a unbiased view on both. The only thing that lets the playbook down is apps, the lack of them that is. Theres just not that many at the moment. This should change soon when the android player becomes available for it so alot of android apps should emulate onto the playbook. The playbook works really well with a blackberry phone. I have a 9780 and the bridge application works great so i can read all my emails, calendar appointments bbm etc on my playbook. All notifications so up on the playbook, I find i use it alot to send emails now instead of my blackberry phone, this is all done over bluetooth. you can also use you blackberry data to use the playbook on the net when you dont have a wifi signal. Many carriers dont actually sell the playbook due to the fact that there cant stop you using your blackberry data plan with the playbook as they have no way to charge you hence why you can only buy it from electrical shops and independent phone shops (carphone warhouse etc...) using the playbook to browse the web is also great, the gestures take alittle getting use to (so use to the ipad) but it all works great. The playbook is more like surfing the web using a desktop computer as you can download files that can be saved on the playbook upload via the browser so no need for certain apps to do this. It is the full web experience. It certainly does not feel cheap. rather the opposite. battery life is great. I got mine as a free gift when I upgraded my blackberry. as mentioned i use to use my ipad alot but taking it around it just was abit to big now this little playbook can fit in my pocket no problem so it's perfect for me. I havent used my ipad since i got the playbook. I'm not into all these apps so just browsing the web and emailing is mainly what i do. If your looking for a tablet then get a ipad. It is the best on the market simply because of the amount of surport it has from developers etc... the ipad hasn't got flash and that never really bothered me until i got the playbook as now i dont have to download an app to look at something i can just use the web as if i was at home on my desktop. I take the playbook with me to work so once i've completed a job i can email my customers there invoices, the ipad was just abit to big for me to carry around all the time. There have been afew software updates aswell since i had mine (just over a week) with each update it gets a little bit better. I'm sure they allow you to use the playbook to answer your blackberry soon aswell. at the moment you get a incoming call notification on the screen but you still have to answer via your blackberry.
I dont think the playbook is suited to people with a blackberry. Its great to browse the net but if you have a blackberry you get so much more uses for it.

Now i'm gonna put my hands in a bowl of cold water to cool the burning! To much typing for one day. Thumbs Up Ex FFRR 4.2 Supercharged

a lot of sites are now coding in html5 for the ipad to compensate for flash...i think loads of peeps will go for the forthcoming windows 8 tablets when they are released to stay with the 'pc' experience...
