Probably cheaper to make until they go bust in a year or so.

Brand is dead anyhow, they've destroyed it with a succession of ever poorer vehicles.

Shame to lose a British Institution, especially with a whimper and a "Brand" that looks like it was designed for a budget clothing manufacturer. Bet that cost them a lot as well!

I give up. Formerly happymadison1978

Er not necessarily, the article actually says;

“The leaping Jaguar emblem will remain but in a modified form”

Who knows what to believe but I doubt the brand will depart completely from its identify, I mean surely that would be stupid right??

Not sure what paper, my Dad sent me the photo, asking if it was April 1st. New logo looks like the end of a coat hanger…. And as mentioned, prob cost them daft money for consultants to come up with….

Was a bit surprised they expected to keep 15% of traditional customers…. Ie alienate 85%. Surely the younger demographic won’t be put off by a forward facing cat emblem….. if the car is what they want….

Couldn’t agree more which is why I’m naturally inclined to doubt headline grabbing stuff like that.

Whatever is going to drive growth for the brand over the next 5 - 10 years it certainly won’t have anything to do with what the badge looks like.

This is typical “focus group” type nonsense where a group of trendy 20 somethings say they associate the Jaguar logo with a pair of old slippers and a pipe …..

I doubt it’s going to happen as the story suggests.

Oh my god, that ad...

Some hilarious comments here- Bud Light!! spot on. Lets hope it's only a 21% decline!

Phrases pertaining to the correct location of the head of a nail, by a hammer spring to mind.

The comments about trendy 20 somethings- bravo! That seems to be what branding is now.

Goodbye Jaguar Thud

I bet the Guardianista's lap this up whilst they are having therapy for their PTSD due to trump winning the election, you couldn't make this up if you tried, as for the advert, no wonder someone asked if it was April the 1st Big Cry

Could be an early (or late) April 1st wind up as the other good one today was the Chinese Crypto Currency chap who has spent $6.2 million on a Banana duct taped to a wall, and is now going to eat the Banana as "In the coming days, I will personally eat the banana as part of this unique artistic experience," Mr Sun was quoted as saying.

I'm going to nail an apple and a pear to our garden fence when I get home and send it to the same auctioneers in New York, must be worth at least $7 million Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter

The F type is stunning , that aside I expect there will be Range Rovers “ Jaguar editions” Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

He who dies with the most toys wins...
