Decided to look in handbook last night! 17 l405 4.4

Whilst looking for tpms info i browsed some other pages and I see there is a green dpf regen light that it states comes on when a successful regen has been completed.

Anyone have this light show? Cheers

I too have the MY2017 and yes this is indeed the information on pages 320-321 of the owners’ handbook.

The “light” is the exhaust filter icon in the dash screen, which lights orange as the DPF fills, this can happen quite quickly due to many short/low speed journeys. If ignored, the icon may turn red (FULL) very soon after, and then its an expensive trip to the Dealer to rectify. Self-cleaning “Active” regen needs a good non-stop run at reasonable speed for about 20 minutes.
It’s important that you take action as SOON as you see the Amber warning.

I've been using some of the OBD2 readouts via CarScanner to monitor my regens and I've never seen any lights on the dash when it is doing an active regen.

Does it only appear if you let it get to the 'yellow' stage, then it goes green to show it's recovered?

Sorry I may have misunderstood you, in case you know all that stuff already and simply were asking about the icon turning green No, personally because I monitor the Soot levels using the Car Scanner Pro App & Vgate iCar Pro OBD dongle.

I’d prefer not to squint down at the dash looking for a tiny icon at 60mph on the A19, lol!

It’s much less of a guessing game knowing what your soot level is most of the time, after a while you even get to be able to predict what it is before plugging in the Vgate thingy, which is kind of fun when you guess it spot on!  “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” -where’s the fun in that?

The green light must only be on models after 2017? I've never seen it on my 2015 and like Gremlin. I monitor every regen with the Kot Kit.
A light to tell us when a regen is in pro would be more useful so we could avoid stopping when it's happening. What would also be useful would be in inhibit switch so that we could plan the regen, to take place when the conditions are right. Apparently some agricultural and horticultural machines have this to avoid high temperatures during dry grass conditions.
I wonder how many WAGs and Supermodels monitor their regens.🤫

Can you actually get your 2015 to output the useful readings that the Kot thread suggests? Cos I can't! Or are you just using the exhaust temps like me?

But now Gremlin is curioses, and must seek the holy green light they speak of

I can't get all the readings, regen status etc, but I use DPF soot concentration g/m3, exh temp sensor 2 bank 2, miles since last regen, sump oil temp and the DPF soot load %. They tell me everything I need to know and as others have stated, it becomes a bit of a mind game to calculate when the next regen is due. I set the speedo trip as soon as the regen is complete then when it approaches about 140 miles I start monitoring it ready for the next one. For some reason the profile for MY2015 wasn't much good and I find the Jaguar F Pace 3L diesel better.

Must be milli-secs as I have never seen it. I will have a regen tomorrow morning so will watch it carefully 2018 SE SDV8 4.4 Byron Blue

Just checked my handbook on 2020 4.4 and it says the same, but I’ve never seen it either, will be watching for it from now on.

So this morning AR started as expected tried my best to scan dash when it finished, but sods law traffic was busy just at the time it finished, and never saw the magic green light!
Maybe @Gremlin your new Gap tool can increase the time this lite is on?  2018 SE SDV8 4.4 Byron Blue
