United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Westminster 4.4 V8 Galway Green
Tyre Pressures on Cooper discoverer RT tyres

Hello all,

I have a 2012 Westminster in Aintree Green that I absolutely love.

I have an issue with the ride quality and unfortunately it has the above tyre which I’m sure isn’t helping.

It is a 2 owner car which has been well looked after and has 100k on the clock.

What I would like to know is what tyre pressures do you guys think I should have the tyres inflated to?

Thanks in advance,

Richard.

@Richard, welcome to the forum!

As you can imagine, there is a plethora of information and probably several days’ reading on the subject of FFRR tyre choices in particular.

Depending on your wheel size, and on/off road preferences, there is much good advice.

On road, many prefer Pirelli all season either Verde or Zero tyres with the PNCS noise-cancelling system for 90% on road driving, but if you do much off-roading, there are other possibly better choices.

Perhaps you can have a good read, then ask about your final choices/options? Thumbs Up “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” -where’s the fun in that?

I have those tyres - on the defender! Grabbers for me, but as Gremlin says, there are many opinions and it depends what you do with your car.

I’ve been running AT tyres on RR’s for around 35 years - the 1st set were Goodrich Track Edge on a Classic. I have always run them at the std light load LR tyre pressure recommendations as AT’s tend to have stronger side walls / more ply’s which tends to give a slightly firmer ride and is compensated for by the light load pressure. Hope this helps. 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17
