I’ve a friend who restores classic motorcycles and tends to rebuild the engines first as he can have many on the go at the same time. His method is to vacuum seal the finished engines with a few moisture bags. His storage in the workshop is typical that it’s an awful lot cooler than where the magic happens but I’ve seen some there for years looking as good as the ones at the front that have just been sealed 2021 SVautobiography Dynamic Black ( Black wheels need to go )

That seems exactly what I'm after, it's showing as out of stock, but will give them a call to see leadtimes.

Vacuum sealing would be ideal, I'm just not sure I could get a bag that big and given the bulk of the block I'm not sure about the logistics of wrapping it successfully. Many thanks L405 SV Autobiography LWB SDV8, finished in Aston Martin China Grey by ETO division. |

Plus 1 on the bag. I have a small collection of classic motorbikes and I keep them in Vac bags when not in use. I wheel them in, throw in a couple of silica gell bags and suck the air out with a vacuum cleaner. The bikes are the same when I wheel them out, sometimes after a year or two. The only drawback for me would be that if I had a brand new TDV8 engine, I'd want to look at it...... every day.
