Inspection 1 on 2009 4.2

Hi all,

My 4.2 is up for service, I thought of doing engine oil, oil filter, air filter, cabin/pollen filter and coolant. Last inspection 1 was Oil service 2023.

When contacting my independent he said according to schedule is up for Inspection 1 which will include less of the above for 647 GBP (Converted from aprox 9K SEK as I'm in Sweden). He also said it's best to follow recommendations.

Another indy which I never used but heard good about, said my above request would cost me 491,85 GBP and did not mention anything regarding Inspection 1. I don't know what they would charge for Insp 1.

What do you guys think - should I proceed with Inspection 1 or go with my plan of service items?
Is it important to follow the schedule for a 15 year old car?

I would also need the indy to check my front right suspension as I have a small sound going over bumps sometimes. 2009 L322 4.2 Supercharged

Hi, I'm surprised no one has responded so far....

I decided to go my own way and created my own schedule based on mileage and time using an excel spreadsheet. I also created my own service check list that I print for use whilst doing a service and use the results to update my service schedule.
I stripped out many of the LR checks that are not really required or irrelevant for an older car.

Hope that helps
