United States 2003 Range Rover HSE 4.4 V8 Zambezi Silver
All Comms Code: 0xF 0x000F ABS return pump

Hello,

I just bought a 2003 HSE 4.4 three weeks ago and I am beginning my "renovation". Step 1 is mechanical (Steps 2 & 3 are Exterior & Interior Very Happy ). I am getting an "ABS Return Pump" fault on All Comms. I cleared it and it came back two days later.

I am trying to identify the "ABS Return Pump" in RAVE.

Below is the Brake Hydraulic Circuit Diagram.

I see the following possibilities:

-Pre charge pump motor
-Pre charge pump
-ABS Pump Motor
-ABS Pump

Could this fault by itself be directly responsible for the HDC, DSC, & Air Suspension Inactive lights?

I looked through RAVE and I am leaning towards the "ABS Return Pump" being part of the actual "ABS Pump" (as referenced in the diagram or ABS Module as it is described for sale on other websites), however I would like confirmation by someone who either has had this fault code before or has an in depth understanding of the ABS system.

What specifically would I need to replace to get rid of this fault? If it is part of the ABS module, is it possible to take it apart and repair the "Return Pump" portion of it? Or do I just need a whole new ABS Module?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
I've got the same problem.
Just wondering if you were ever able to resolve the issue?
Cheers
Grant
