Map Downloads

Monthly downloads used to take around 90 mins and now seem to take about 90 years. I plugged in my USB last night and it's still only at 75% complete.

Anyone else having similar issues or is my USB completely garbage? Banging Head 2017 Vogue SE

Well mine are still about 90mins at 50mbps (not exactly the fastest fttp connection), using a USB3 (blue) port.
(If the plastic bit in your port is black, it may be USB2? But that would have been the same previously?)
Other possible causes: deliberate “throttling” by your provider in the hope they can sell you an “upgrade”, other users eating into your bandwidth, or a virus, or a hardware fault.
Seems the Here download site is OK, speed-wise, well at least for me.
It’s been a while at “159”, i.e. no new maps anyway? “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” -where’s the fun in that?

It's just so weird, it used to be absolutely fine and now it isn't. The car is a pain because it will accept one USB and not the other one. Snore. 2017 Vogue SE
