L322 4.4 TDV8 Who are the manufacturers of the oil cooler

L322 4.4 TDV8 Are Mann + Hummel the OE manufacturers of the factory fitted oil cooler? Anyone any experience of other makes such as Nissens?

Also has anyone ever run a flushing oil through a 4.4 TDV8?

Thanks. Rehab is for quitters!!!

When my oil cooler was done 4 yrs ago my my Indy, they used genuine LR (don’t know who makes ‘em) & when I checked the price difference from a Nissen, there wasn’t much in it.
Indy puts an oil flush through mine every other service I think. Never bothered to ask why, if they’re happy doing it, crack on. Some people favour a flush, some don’t. 2012 Orkney Grey Westminster 4.4TDV8 with Ivory interior.........nice!

I don't think you can go wrong with Nissens. If I didn't know the service history I'd maybe add some flushing addative for the first oil change but the main issue with the oil is soot load and diesel contamination from regens as they get older and the frequency increases so 5-7k mile oil changes with the correct C1 oil are more important than flushing it every service. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

GraemeS I believe the M+H part no. is 5989070106.
I've gone with Nissens purely because of availability. Rehab is for quitters!!!

Great minds think alike. I've already decided I'm going to use a flushing agent. Haven't decided whether to go for a flushing oil or an additive. I think I'm leaning towards the oil. Anyone any experience of either or recommendations? Rehab is for quitters!!!
