I am sorry £22k for an L322 regardless of miles is ridiculous.......

I’m trying to think of what L322 I would consider ok for £22k…

The sweet spot for me personally (not everyone) is 07-09 model as I find the facelift design changes a little difficult (as did Harry & Clarkson incidentally), so maybe a clear window 2008 Tonga green / sand leather 3.6 tdv8 SE with 1 careful owner and around 10k miles perhaps.

I imagine the Queens would go for 6 figures if it ever came up for sale. I maybe wrong, could be more…

One things for sure, I feel like my car’s worth £22k when all is working and I’m floating along! 2009 pre-facelift 3.6 TDV8.

Not a ‘Harry/Clarkson’ car or my cup of tea but guess this rare L322 warrants the slightly higher price - never understood the 2006 cars with the facelift exterior and the original interior…

Yeap, you are not wrong about 6 figures, this went through last year I think:

I think that some of these older ones end up in the market in a "discreet" fashion after being released by JLR (I doubt they make much noise about the previous ownership) - I could be wrong but I think a sharp eyed trader noticed the special features and leveraged it to get a big sale, might not have been this one but another.

These are dead giveaways and I think were only used for HMQ (stand to be corrected);

It’s the 07-09 car that she was pictured driving in often that I think would command a lot more than the early house hold car.

Harry and Clarkson would approve…

The Household cars just end up being put through auction with the blue lights etc removed, they’re just fleet vehicles aside from the Royal usage - the specs are all fairly similar and easy to spot (eg for L405s, clear glass, fixed steps, 20” wheels, generally Almond interior etc).

Private cars like the Queen’s TDV8 are a different thing.

I’m going built in redundancy!

Could be wrong but I’m fairly sure the one sold that I linked to was pictured with HMQ driving it and was evidenced in the auction.

I think the rear grab handles were a “standard” fitment for a royal car by JLR therefore even those she was seen driving probably still had them?
