Rear Shock absorbers L322 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE 2012

I have to replace the shocks at rear of my L322 and I have been appalled at the new cost of originals at over 1000 euros each !

I have looked online and I have found secondhand with return guarantee ... usually I would not go 2nd hand - but such pricing is just crazy !!

OK ... there is this one :

but its only one ... I need a pair ... so found these but they are 2006 model .. are they same for 2012 ?

Try Autodoc or Aerosus. OE rears are Bilstein and for you car they are active damping with an electrical connector at the top so are more expensive than the earlier ones. Beware of some companies selling fake items which have an electrical connector but which doesn't control anything and just sends signal to fool the ECU. Why are they needing to be replaced? 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

I replaced mine at 108K kms with Bilsteins as the originals were totally worn-out. Just don't fit Bilstein rear air-springs if you use off-road height because they aren't long enough, being the shorter version fitted to earlier L322s.

The car has over 290,000kms on it and one side is basically dead and other side is near dead .. the car floats on bumps.

When JLR were investigating for a clicking noise under the car - which is transverse box when loaded - they noted the shocks were bad .. plus some bushes and a bit of rust ...

My local Auto Service (JLR are 3hrs drive away and hugely expensive ... as they get all parts via Finland - Finland get from UK, add their mark-up then pass to Latvia who add their mark-up !!).
I asked both JLR and my local about Bilsteins and they both said not compatible ...

So back to the links I showed ... please note Latvia is in EU and any parts from UK are subject to customs fees 21% and clearance fees ...
I usually ask Britcars.co.uk for anything I cannot get here ... they are generally very good.

Aerosus and Autodoc are in the EU. If you are ordering from the UK then try Island 4x4. OE rear shocks are Bilstein. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Mine were leaking and replaced earlier this year with OEM Bilstein. Bought from lrparts.net in UK for a very reasonable price, delivered to Canada by DHL in 4 days. 2012 Supercharged L322
