New Boy Here

Hi everyone. Just bought a 2011 4.4 TDV8 after looking for a while. Being delivered tomorrow and I am the most excited about a ‘new’ vehicle I have ever been. Drove the car yesterday and it is a real beauty. 124k on the clock and appears in very good nick. Even the wife was bowled over and she is generally not bothered with cars.

I am a seasoned Series Landy owner so it will be nice to continue the line.

Just need to find some insurance, which being based in Greater Manchester is probably going to be a bit painful!!

Yep, the insurance was pretty painful. After trying several comparison websites and speaking to my existing other vehicle insurers, the best I was able to get was with Tesco. £1195 Comprehensive, allowing for the Club Card discount of £62. Includes legal fees, glass and courtesy car as standard plus EU travel for 90 days. Having been quoted up to £6.5k and declined by a number of sites, in the end I was almost convinced it was a bargain.
