2019 Range Rover Autobiography SDV6 Balmoral Blue

Tail lights flashing sequence when parked with tailgate open

I noticed this today on my 2021 AB - was parked up with the top and bottom tailgates open. Both the rear light clusters were flashing through a light sequence constantly - I think from top down to bottom on the vertical light cluster - until picked the car up…

Is this normal?

I’ve not got a 405, but isn’t there a button in there or on a fob that goes through a sequence so you can check the lights on a caravan etc without having to be in the car?
