PHEV owners - can you remove your charge cable if car locked

I always assumed that I would not be able to remove the charging cable if the car was locked, but I can. I just press the button, and the cable is released.

Anyone else, or is it just me? 2024 Range Rover P550e AB

Is it a proximity issue with the keyless entry as you had the key with you?

I had a Volvo XC60 T8 and that definitely wouldn't allow the charging cable to be removed if locked.

If you have the key with you the button will release the cable, but otherwise it remains locked in.

and another thing...

Being a PHEV the petrol flap does not automatically unlock with the central locking.

There is a button you have to press to the right of the drivers footwell.

I keep getting caught out on the few occasions i visit the petrol station Embarassed
