I did it and the main beam is IMO too bright for country roads as the reflection from road signs is dazzling. Dipped beam is brighter but with better cutoff. I need to research if can can get lower output versions or fit some kind of dimmer device. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |

I'm about to do this shortly, a trip down to Devon this week means I tried the led bulbs I bought in the wife's car and she would let me swop them back.

I can’t see any of those for sale, not in D3 S anyway.

I think it is more complicated - seems more like a system replacement

I'd worry that on a wet road the reflection for incomming traffic would be very dazzling to say the least. I don't think there is anything intrinsicaly wrong with the stock HID +H7 setup. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |

I swapped mine (2012 model) for the ones Sam Uel used in his upgrades video. From Ali Express made by Bevinsee. Very good , no errors and not too expensive. |

I also put the Bevinsee D3S's as well as their H7's in my 2012 headlamps. No issues. Also replaced the fog assembly with an LED assembly who's kelvin colour temp matches the new bulbs (6000k cool white), and had the mechanic run power to them for DRL purposes. 2012 Supercharged L322 |

I had an early L322 with standard HID's. The lens & reflectors were in good condition, they were adjusted correctly and the lights was excellent, good cut off and great for country roads, no issues from oncoming drivers either.

Oddly enough when I swapped an L322 for an L405 I like lots of others felt the lights were a bit feeble and I looked at light bars and LEDs but I've got used to them and they are fine. I have come to realise that the L322 seemed brighter but was less controlled - I mean did I really need to illuminate the treetops. Geoff |

My pal brought the AliExpress 405 style headlights for his L322 and they work brilliantly and have been fine for 12 months, he’s on the fb forums Bill McClean

We sell kits for both the 322 & to replace the appalling L405 bulbs… Tried and tested by us for 2yrs then with our customers. Never had a bulb failure or an MOT issue/failure of any kind… PM me for more details |
