Coming back to Range Rover

It's been quite a few years since I owned a Range Rover, but that will change on Monday when I collect my new P550e AB in Belgravia Green with Caraway interior, plus deployable sidesteps.

There were lots of new RRs in-stock at the dealers I visited over the past week, so no need to wait as this colourway was my first choice. The significant end of September discount, plus the LR owner loyalty offer tipped the balance. The loyalty discount was more than I paid for my 30-year old Defender many years ago!

Congrats, I bet you can't wait.

As you say there are plenty of offers around at the moment, however, the number of new unregistered physical cars is thinning out as you'd expect.

I found the offers differed from dealer to dealer. Also, their location. I considered a car in stock with Group 1, North London gave a better offer than my local dealer in Chester who is also Group 1. Disappointing as we've previously (2019/2023) bought 2 new cars from Chester and both our cars are serviced there.

In the end, I bought a new 550e from Swansay Stafford, they found the right spec car at Harwoods in Edenbridge Kent and had it delivered to them.

So far I've been really pleased with mine, love to hear your thoughts when you get yours.

Had a great handover experience at LR in Gloucester today and enjoyed a very quiet drive home.

Online Updates

I've received two online software updates this week and wondered if that's just because it's new or are these updates a regular occurrence?

The first one was only 10 minutes but today's update took 30 minutes.

Just a quick recommendation for Autotrilogy https://www.autotrilogy.com in Portishead, North Somerset.

This week, they have machine polished my car, fitted XPEL PPF to the front end and sills followed by Gtechniq ceramic coating to the body and wheels. I was delighted with the result.

Their set-up impressed me as well. The two enclosed bays in the background are temperature and pressure controlled to minimise potential contamination.

You can delay the updates until a time when you are not using the car. I guess two is just catching up.

Great colour. Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc
