United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Westminster TDV8 Zermatt Silver
Tame Insurers: L322 to L405

Any tame insurance companies out there?

I'm currently with LV on a multi-car policy and thinking of swapping the Westie for a P525 Autobiography.
LV won't insure it (despite garaged, not in a dodgy area, 50 year old main driver, etc).

The Westie is currently three figures. Obviously the replacement will be more due to the value but if the options are thousands of £££, there may be a change of tack. 2012 4.4 TDV8 Westminster

I’ve been with Tesco for both L322 and L405 and were competitive on both. Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

My L405 s/c was with Churchill for 3 years. Renewal this month they let me know they wouldn’t be offering to renew.

So I contacted LV who I have my other 2 cars insured with and my house insurance. They declined to insure as well.

So I went with comparethemarket.com and Admiral came up trumps!

Anyway I’ve just had my annual renewal for my LV house insurance declined as well, after 20+ years!! FFS!! But John Lewis have taken it on and bonus, a much better policy.

Insurance companies are doing strange things these days, Directline told us our list of contents were “too high” and would not be able to cover at the present level. My wife, who’s great at dealing with these things sorted it out with them but it seemed strange. I’m guessing they want to reduce their exposure to risk in all areas. Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

England

Iv been a big fan of AXA the last few years BUT they put the wife's insurance up for no reason a quick merecat got a better policy for less than half what AXA quoted.

My L322 is up shortly and yes they want to charge me £200 odd more than last year another session on the comparison site has got me a policy for less then £300 quid with break down and all the other stuff as standard AXA wanted extra
