Take out the new bleed nipples now before they go on, and carefully wrap just the threads in PTFE tape to act as an electrolytic barrier, you or someone may be grateful one day….
Don’t forget to put aluminium anti-seize on the ends of the pins, and top/bottom edges of the pads.

everything was spot on, except the brakes guys initially gave me the wrong rear brackets and handbrake actuators, but quickly replaced them, no quibbles. On 2 years now, OEM JLR brakes have been perfect. Discs/pads also excellent.

I also replaced sensor wires and all 4 flexibles while I was in there, may as well!

Bleeding the whole system was a b*tch, you need to run the ABS pump. “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” -where’s the fun in that?

Glad you decided to refurb them. I bought some from an eBay company selling them as refurbished and the quality was abysmal. Initially this was down to the logo/decal placement so I whipped out my wheel to remove (ordered replacements) and the powder coat disentegrated. I got BCR to refurb them and the result was it required a complete strip back and found sand in pistons etc..

BCR look like they have done a cracking job there again!

Yes I’m glad I went for a full refurb too. The lads at BRC are brilliant. Mine weren’t in that bad condition in the first place. They came off a late SVR. I only got charged an extra £20 for new rubber seals all round. I couldn’t buy them for that price!

Just dropped them off for a ceramic coating before they go on. Overkill maybe but I love the way they look and want to keep it that way.

Absolutely worth it, I put 3 coats on mine before fitting. Cleaning was a breeze

Managed to fit these this afternoon at my mate’s garage. Took just over an hour including bleeding the brake fluid through. However this was with the benefit of having the use of an MOT ramp, all tools I needed on hand and a professional mechanic to call on if I got stuck.

All went well. No seized bolts or scraped knuckles.

Thanks Stan. I didn’t really think about the text really. I just went with Land Rover because that’s what all the other post 2018 calipers had on them.
