I need an element of off-road ability. Nothing serious but shooting, inspecting farms, etc for work. Which has the better pattern for mud and wet grass? Verde All Season or Zero All Season? "There is no replacement for displacement" - W O Bentley

Neither are great in mud or wet grass as both are road tyres. Most people go for the General Grabber AT3's if they need any off road use but be aware of the compromised road performance esp wet braking an all terrain tyre will have vs a dedicated road tyre. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Going back to Harry's clip on the last page, he runs the Verdes all year round and takes the car on wet grass/muddy tracks regularly. I wouldn't want to compromise the road performance unless I did regular serious off roading. MY23 Panamera E-Hybrid

I had GG AT3 tyres in 275/40/r20 in my 5 litre L320 RRS. They were good off road but too much of a compromise on road. Hence trying to find a happy medium between road and all terrain (tricky one). "There is no replacement for displacement" - W O Bentley

After a few days driving in the wet and dry I can recommend Zero All Seasons as a very good choice.

Less noise and better handling than my (worn) standard zeros.

Sure having the wheels refurbed and balanced helps a little.

Had new pads and discs, brakes don’t have the bite I am used too so hope this is just a bedding in process, the fluid was bled as needed a new calliper, will have to check if was done properly if it continues. 2009 pre-facelift 3.6 TDV8.

I needed to put new tyres on mine, and thought I'd share where/price I've gone for:

- Pirelli Zero all seasons
- Halfords, where I took out their £49 a year membership to get discount off tyres and which will use anyway for MOT on one of the family cars, and they have some other discount active if you buy 2,3 or 4 tyres.
- Mobile fitting this Friday at home
- Total cost for 4 = £1060, which is £265 a tyre. Pretty good vs their list of £330, which was only a little better than Dealer's quote of £339 a tyre.

Thumbs up for Halfords mobile tyre changing - really efficient chap came and did all 4x wheels today on my driveway.

And even better, a minor "wobble" at 25-30mph seems to have been cured by the tyre change!
