Right let's see what you all think...

Intermittently when pulling away after being stationary for a period of time i'm getting a squeak which gradually speeds up as i accelerate, although doesn't seem to match what i perceive to be wheel speed but then stops altogether.

Sounds like the back end somewhere, i was thinking brake related but have stripped and cleaned all the brakes (but not the drums) mud shields are in place and solid.

It could be the hand brake shoes catching. The shoe retaining pins have a habit of pulling through the backplates, which causes the shoes to catch the drum

Add one for rear drums. I had the retaining clips for the shoes pop out on one side, the spring and the retainer were spinning in the drum. Sounds ranged from squeak to screach on and off.

Luckily the backing plate wasn't rusty or damaged, just seems to have worked loose, reseated and been good ever since, over a year ago now.
