To be honest, it’s driven by them losing a lot of money. My insurance used to be £1000, it’s £3500 these days (I feel properly spanked) and I am unsure what will happen on renewal in November. The rising cost of parts and repairs has been hammering insurers. And the market has plenty of competition. I’d love for my premiums to be lower but I don’t think there’s anything extraordinary to investigate, unfortunately. L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso |

There's always more than one side to a story and I'm sure what you say is also true. But when every year you get a renewal offer with a 50% (or more) increase in premium and you then just have to phone up to get it reduced again....or go on a comparison site and get the same company offer a lower quote you KNOW that there's something rotten in there. And that's without all of the nonsense finding reasons why they don't have to meet a claim, or using "market values" that you can't actually buy a like for like replacement for. Add in the claims management companies scamming on hire/"courtesy" cars and injury claims and the whole shooting match is just a mass of corruption. Plenty to find if you look - but they wont, any more than they looked into the corruption around fuel pump pricing - nothing to see here, all working perfectly as it should.
