Servicing - 2005 AJV8

Hi All,

QQ but maybe not a quick answer. I've had my 2005 4.4 Petrol (AJV8) for a few months now and after our family holiday covering ~2000 miles around France and Spain its time for a service (and MOT). I've been quoted at £600 for a full service, oil and brake fluid change, new plugs and filters. Is that a reasonable price, seems it to me but I thought I'd double check.

Secondly, I asked about a gearbox service and they told me it would be £1100 due to it taking 15litres of oil. I suspect the receptionist was wrong about the amount of oil but either way the price seems ridiculous. What does a gear box service entail?

TIA - wasn't a QQ after all

Hi, that's a very good price for the service if its including the plugs. Gearbox seems a little high to me tho not too far off: does this include Vat?
