Deployable side steps

Seem to be a problem.I have a Land Rover select warranty. Looking at the comments l don’t think it is covered by the warranty. Just thinking the Land Rover original motor part is not that great - and expensive. Can I get after market if not covered by the LR warranty and still be covered by the Land Rover warranty for the other parts in the car.

If they were factory fitted the warranty usually covers, if dealer fit it doesn’t 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17

Oh that’s could be good news they were factory fitted- so hopefully when the car goes in - it will be covered by the warranty. Thanks

AFAIK, the steps, deployable or fixed, are always dealer fitted, even if ordered with the car when new.

A bit like mats and other things considered 'accessories'.

Not really sure why that should make then exempt from the warranty, but I guess if they're not on the build sheet.....

Oh well . I then cannot see why I should pay for a LR approved part . My question would be if I don’t have an approved part would it effect my Land Rover warranty for other parts of the car.
