P400e - First 3 months and really chuffed with the MPG


All. Bought a 2019 P400e 3 months ago and am loving the refinement and mpg so far. Still on the 3rd tank of petrol after 2,380 miles and averaging 58mpg overall.

Is anyone else experiencing similar ?

lol, had mine for a couple of weeks and currently in Cornwall ruining my stats! Where is that info screen located?

Once back home I reckon I’ll be similar as most of my days are 20-50 miles. Any top tips for a hybrid virgin? Mine only ever seems to charge to 98 or 99% for some reason? My Previous RR's!

How much charging have you done? Looks like a fair bit based on just under 50% of the mileage EV running....which makes the mpg 27, which isn't too bad but not quite so amazing! Although it depends on how JLR calculate the EV running. With Porsche, it includes all the throttle off time which you get in a combustion engined car, so it's not really the right calculation.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a hybrid convert. It's significant reduced my fuel costs, although that's a drop in the ocean compared to depreciation, the biggest benefit alongside near silent running in traffic / around town, is having to visit fuel stations much less often. I do a high proportion of longer journeys, but even so nearly every tank is 750-1000 miles. That's despite is being set up more for performance than economy.

Including charging, the cost per mile has dropped from c23p in the Range Rover to 16p in the Panamera and I get 26p for even business mile a do vs 20p, so I've gone from a loss to a profit. MY23 Panamera E-Hybrid

Lol at Stan's downhill cruise.

I've got a an SDV8. On a run on a warm day, I have seen nearly 40mpg on the screen, which is seriously impressive for a big brute. Even towing with 3T behind, I get 29mpg, which I consider very good considering any vehicle would struggle getting above 30mpg with that kind of weight.

That's impressive from the P400e. I assume that's charging it most evenings, as real world range on the battery is about 25 miles? Once the battery has depleted, what does it manage in normal hybrid mode around town and on a motorway? (I.e petrol engine running and surplus power is used to charge the batteries, which the electric motor uses in turn to fill in for the petrol engine here and there) 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8
