Suspension - Access height to get into garage

Hi all - looking to dive back into LR ownership with a 405 (probably 2018 SE or thereabouts).

My last LR was a 1980 Series 3, so I'm hoping there'll be less water coming in the top, and less oil coming out the bottom...

I have electric roller shutters on my garage which open to around 1825-1830mm - am I right in thinking that you can use the "Access Height" mode to manouvre in and out of parking?

Online manual suggest standard height is 1867mm with antenna and claims 50mm lower when in access height (so 1817mm).

Thanks!

Have you got a perfectly level driveway into your garage?

If you do then you might just be able to get away with it, however, if the back of the car is slightly higher then the front of the car as you go in to the garage then the 8-20mm clearance you have will not be enough.

Personally, with only 8-20mm of clearance, I'd be of the opinion that the car won't fit in the garage as that's not enough clearance for comfort.

In theory, with an IID tool you could deflate the suspension to get it to sit even lower but that becomes a lot of hassle and regular storage of the car with the bags creased and no pressure in them probably isn't a good idea. 2002 4.6 Vogue SE - Alveston Red with Lightstone Leather

I’m also used to do this my works and underground Carpark as it was tight…

You MUST remember to do it however if it’s that close.! Ash

It's not a permanent lock, it only allows a faster speed before raising.

If you decide to do this I’d suggest a tennis ball on a piece of string suspended above the door to remind you. It would be a disaster to forget! 2017 (67) Vogue SE Corinthian Grey

I just checked my L322 owners hand-book and was surprised to see that crawl mode is cancelled above 24 mph. I had in mind that it was much slower.
