I’ve finally given in and bought a Tom Tom Go Supreme 7 inch job…. Had enough of the factory sat nav trying to take me off at every motorway junction instead of realising the motorway is fastest and rerouting from there……

My sat nav did that, turns out it was set to avoid motorways so it kept trying to turn you off...!!! Pete

Thanks Gents. Might have to try the right side…. Found a gooseneck mount but waiting for the chap to send me the size of the ball. Factory one is about 16mm……

Nice one. That is a good option then. I also found a very long mount, but the ball was 17.2mm so would have to be altered.

ermmm that mount isn't for the Tom Tom that you posted originally..... the earlier Tom Toms have the ball mount the later ones have a magnetic clip.....not sure that one will fit? 2011 L322 Autobography - a lot of bells and some of the whistles...owner with no idea! |

The magnetic clip sits on a ball mount. It’s just the ball mount I need. You can pull the mount off the Go Supreme and it has a 16mm ball, so I shall just fit it to the ball on that mount instead…..

This was a longer one I found, but the ball is 17.2mm otherwise would have been ideal…

The gooseneck mount I ordered came this morning. I’m happy with what it’s done, won’t need the massive long one.
