My L322 TDV8

Hi all,

I currently own a L322 with the 3.6L TDV8 engine.
It has 480 000 km on the clock and needs some affection.

United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Buckingham Blue

Hello, nice vehicle. It’s got significantly more than mine mileage wise (210k miles) which is encouraging - maybe there’s a lot more life in the old girl yet!! Look very clean, particularly the bodywork - is it as clean underneath?

Good luck with it, hope it gives you good loyal service.

Jon

Hi all,

Indeed, decent milage.
I bought it with this milage and an engine problem.

The engine got overheat a few times and was loosing coolant when warm. A few parts of the most accessible parts were changed such as pump, hoses and thermostat.
Then the mechanic that maintained it gave up.

I changed the coolant hose going to the inner rear of the V. It was worn an leaking due to vibrations between the engine cast and the rubber of the hose.
Now, engine is okay. I got quite lucky on that aspect.

I am currently removing the gearbox to change the torque converter. It is completely worn out.

The bodywork is really crap. It was initially black and got painted in gold. It looks good, but the gold paint starts to scale off.
I also have the usual rust a the back of the rear wheels, at the edge of the bumper & bodywork. I had another L322 before (4.4L Petrol) and it had the same.

Thanks for the warm welcome !
