United Kingdom 2016 Range Rover Autobiography TDV6 Barolo Black

Hi,
Im new to the site but not to working on cars.
I cant find for the life of me how to post a topic on the forum.
Ive got a few questions about the 405 which i've recently bought.
1.Just fitted the ctek onto the battery and came across a random small connector on the r/h side sat in the battery box with two plastic mounting clips,Any ideas where it belongs, i've had a good luck but cant spot anything not connected.
2.Theres a full size spare but where the jack handle is located there is two slots empty, would this maybe for a tyre inflator or injection kit?
3.The steering column gaitor inside the engine bay is split, i've found a replacement gaitor but is it a easy job to split the shaft and would it be better just to replace the complete joint whilst its apart, not much info about doing the job.Size of torx socket etc etc.
I've done a couple of replacement gaitors on my tvr and they were split the type,ie glued together and saved a lot of work removing the drive shafts.
Just wondering if anything similar is availabe for the 405.
Really shocked at some of the rip of prices garages are trying to charge to work on these cars.
Many thanks
John
