I change mine every 6k miles without fail. Shel helix ultra and a new filter, oil is always black. I have a special machine that sucks the oil out of the Service tube.

This letter is definitely worth a read as it expands on the meaning of the phrase "architecture and hardware" contained in JLRP00100:

Just to be clear, are there two service indicators, one specifically for oil, and the other for general servicing? I checked my oil today and it appears to have gone up, not down ![]() I also get a service message with a "spanner" - what does that mean? What's the warning specific to oil dilution getting too high? Thanks |

It looks like there’s a surplus of diesel on the oil due to failed regens.

I used the back door rather than my idtool only recently (may/june) I’ll use the tool this time now I’ve found it again. I’ll also check the oil level. Geoff |
