I've tried to send a two different people a PM but the message is staying in the outbox and not going to the sentbox - why is this ??

The two people appear to have suffered the same problem that I am having and I want to see how they resolved it....so if it's in the outbox, I presume it hasn't gone...

that's the way it works..if the recipient doesn't read the pm ,then it stays in you outbox until they do...sometimes a 'pm sent' reference in the post helps..
