As above. It's a bit puzzling because I was using the main beam extensively on a night run from Edinburgh to Essex on Monday night. Wednesday morning it passed the MOT with no issues. Thursday night no main beam but flash worked perfectly.

GAP IID does not show any relevant faults. Checked through the CCF files and could not see anything odd.

A search brought up one similar post from a 2004 FF where the Light Control Module had sufferred water damage. The owner sent it for repair and solved the issue. The LCM in that vehicle was located behind the panel next to the accellerator. Is it the same in my 2008 MY?

I had the knee bolster and column surrounds off 2 months ago. Did not see any water ingress or signs of corrosion. All connectors looked good.

What a plum. My MOT man had switched off the lights. Because I have daylight running turned on I didn't notice. Simply turning the switch to auto solved it.  2007 3.6 TDV8

Ah. Got there in the end. Easy done if you don’t notice the rears were off.
